Every single aspect of our cloud hosting platforms has been carefully planned, implemented, and reviewed to provide you with the best possible service. We’ve invested in top of the range hardware, technologies, and people to bring them all together into one incredible cloud-based solution.
Our hosting platform has been designed with a maximum use, no waste of resources mindset. Every aspect of our hosting platform is built to be as energy-efficient as possible. Powered by 100% renewable energy, your site will be "carbon-reducing" when hosted on our platform. Learn more about our Green Hosting credentials.
Our Linux platform is great for most types of websites and is the most versatile choice. Built for speed and security, we’ve fine-tuned Apache (web server) for even better performance. It also offers over 80+ one-click installs of popular open source apps as well as built-in security.
WordPress hosting, built for the security and performance of WordPress sites. Performance tuning makes sites load up to 48x faster. Includes a staging platform, automatic updates, management tools, brute force login protection and our fast edge caching-engine plugin.
All our hosting platforms utilise auto-scaling, meaning that if your website has a surge of traffic, we automatically scale up the resources needed so that your site stays online and still loads just as quickly for every user. Rather than being hosted on just one or two servers, your website can access the entire platform's resources, meaning that if you're experiencing a busy period or a server is struggling for some reason, another can step in to take its place with no interruption or degradation to your service. This also means no other users on the platform affect your website’s speed or performance even if their websites are busy.
Our powerful autoscaling is teamed with load-balanced servers and built-in redundancy to ensure optimal reliability that goes far beyond other shared web hosts – and we don’t charge you more for any additional resources you use. Using this system we can ensure our hosting has no LVE limits.
Load balancing is about sharing traffic across servers. Other web hosts may say they use load balancing – and indeed they do – but not the kind we’ve developed. Their load balancing mitigates failover: if a server goes down, your site will be moved to another, so it stays online.
It’s a kind of disaster recovery. That’s expected: we offer that kind of server redundancy as well, even though we use some of the best hardware in the industry – thanks to our long-term partners at Dell – and a robust 10 Gb network.
Our load balancing makes use of monitors that will respond to traffic load and balance it across multiple servers when needed. Many other providers don’t offer this. The consequence for you is this: with Cloud Next, your site stays online, and remains fast, whatever load the servers are under.
We are one of the first hosting providers to be Powered by 100% Renewable Energy; not just carbon offsetting. This means a direct relationship between our datacentre's and the power they use to ensure it is from 100% renewable sources.
Our ethos and green credentials provide you with the knowledge that when you have your hosting with us, you are in a small but very important way helping to battle climate change. Our team have the opportunity to enrol in a Cycle to Work Scheme and we operate a Paperless Office.
PuE (Power usage Effectiveness) is the ratio of the energy used by our Data Centre against the energy used by our Data Centre to deliver its services. The PuE is higher for more inefficient Data Centres and our PuE is on average 1.12 (very efficient).
The Domain Name System (DNS) protocol is an important part of the web's infrastructure, serving as the internet's phone book. Every time you visit a website or someone visits your website, the device you are using performs a DNS lookup.
We've built our entire DNS platform on the same infrastructure as Google. Google's global fibre network is industry-leading and ensures quick and stable response times and scales so we can handle a huge number of queries instantly.
All domains hosted with us and using our name servers are served from Google DNS - included as standard and at no extra charge.

Our entire hosting platform is built and hosted with Samsung enterprise SSDs, guaranteeing fast hosting. This isn't just limited to our web servers, but all platform servers use SSD for performance and speed across the network.
Each Dell web server has two 2.2 GHz Intel Xeon (Cascade Lake) 12-core processors with hyper-threading. This gives 48 logical cores per machine. These have access to plenty of fast memory resource: 64 GB 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM.
We support IPv6, which is the new standard for IP addresses. Our servers use HTTP/2 – a major revision the HTTP network protocol – as standard. HTTP/2 means that browsers can request and receive more data than before.
